There's always time. Time is a priority.
一定有時間,找出時間才是你的優先任務。
Days always fill up."Only plan for 4-5 hours of real work per day."
每天時間一定會被事情填滿。一天只計畫四到五小時實際工作。
Work more when you are (1) in the zone. Relax when you are not."It's normal to have days where you just can't work and days where you'll work 12 hours straight."
狀態好的時候多做點事,狀態不好的時候就休息。人本來就有時沒法做事、有時可以一口氣工作十二小時。
Respect your time and make it respected."Your time is $1000/hour, and you need to act accordingly."
重視你的時間,也讓它值得被重視。你的時間一小時值一千美金,你要過得有那個樣子。
Stop multitasking. It merely kills your focus.
不要一心多用,那只會分散你的注意力。
We are always more focused and productive with limited time.
時間緊迫時,專注和生產力反而更好。
Expectations to do things perfectly are stifling."Doing is better than perfect."- Facebook Motto
期望把事情做到完美會令人窒息。「做」勝過「完美」。
Separate brainless and strategic tasks to become more productive."Separate thinking and execution to execute faster and think better."
把不用動腦筋和策略型工作分開,會更有生產力。把思考和執行分開,執行速度會更快、思考會更好。
Organize meeting early during the day.Time (2) leading up to an event is often wasted.
把會議安排在一天開始的時候。重要事件(會議)前的時間,常常也做不了什麼事。
Group meetings and communication (email or phone) together to create blocks of uninterrupted work.
集中處理會議和溝通(email或通話),以創造不被打斷的時間區塊。
Work around (A) procrastination.Procrastinate between intense (B) sprints of work.
不要在工作中拖延,在認真衝刺的工作與工作之間,才拖延一下。
Break the unreasonable down into little reasonable chunks.A big goal is only achieved when every little thing that you do every day, gets you closer to that goal.
把不切實際的目標切割成合理的區塊。每天朝著目標達成小小任務,就能達成大目標。
Always know the one thing you really need to get done during the day."Only ever work on the biggest thing that will have the biggest impact."
清楚今天必須完成的哪件事。會造成最大影響的事就是要處理的事。
(C) Delegate and learn to (3) make use of other people."If something can be done 80% as well by the others, delegate!"
懂得授權,利用其他人的能力。如果一件事由別人做也能達到80%的成效,就把事情交出去吧!
Set end dates for intense or stressful activities. Everything ends at some point.
為緊張、有壓力的工作設定期限。每件事終有結束的一天。
"Write down anything that distracts you- Google searches, random thought, new ideas, whatever. The point is, if you write them down, they'll stop bubbling up when you're in the zone."
寫下令你分心的事情,想google的事、胡思亂想、新點子,通通記下來。只要寫下來,它們就不會在你全心工作的時候又冒出來了。

2. Lead up to...在...開始前(的時間或事件)
The moments leading up to the accident are very confused in my mind.
我對導致意外的時刻感到很混亂。
3. Make use of... 利用
We will make good use of our time.
我們會善用時間的。
